Where do food and travel intersect?
Today we’re going to break down all the ways travel can be a challenge for your eating, and a challenge for your body, and provide solutions for all your potential woes. We’ll also explain how we plan nutrition for trips for our clients.
First, we have our Food First Aid Kits. We use this to keep healthy snacks and secret weapons ready to go. Some things we love putting in there:
- Jerky
- Brain Octane (MCT oil)
- Olives
- Nuts
To deal with jetlag:
- Compression socks
- Avocado
- Hydrate well, but no carbonated beverages
- Vitamin D
- Goji berries
- Fasting during flight
- CBD
Germaphobe? Here are some things you can do to keep up your immunity:
- Oil of oregano
- Probiotic
- NEC Antioxidant
- Stay hydrated
- Window seats are better than aisle seats
Dealing with constipation? Try this:
- Warm fluids
- MCT oil
- Movement (on the plane and at the airport)
- NOT a fan of fiber supplements, especially coupled with dehydration
